ELECTRO-ACOUSTIC

The Tasman Range

Our electro-acoustic instruments offer all the facilities and advantages of the electric range whist retaining a traditional appearance. An easy transition and ready to plug and play. Easily linked to effects units, looping stations and recording devices these instruments are ideal for high-volume performance with a high feedback resistance also suitable unamplified for acoustic settings.

DESCRIPTION

  • traditional build using quality tonewoods

  • maple back ribs and neck, spruce front

  • Bridge proprietary pickup and pre amp

  • 3V coin cell

  • industry standard 1/4’’ 6mm mono jack output

  • ebony fittings

  • Thomastik dominant strings

Tasman Octave Option

The Tasman electro-acoustic violin is also available as an octave violin. Unlike its acoustic counterpart, these violins can successfully generate much lower frequencies than expected for their size. Using our own frequency dedicated circuity and specialist octave strings, the bass register is now available to the violinist. The bridge and nut are carefully shaped to accommodate the heavier strings for an easy transition.
